{Diversity + Play|

. . . and finding inspiration
in the art of those I admire.

  . . .

The key to keeping up with this challenge has been finding ways of making it feel like play.

In this first full week I ended up exploring different media + techniques plus I let some of my favorite painters inspire the direction of my work.

If you know the work of Dilka Bear and Mindy Lacefield, you may see slight nods to their awesomeness! And if you don't, click through and enjoy some visual delights.

But before you go, let me ask you a question that might come in handy for next week in the challenge: How do YOU stay inspired & feed your creativity?

Consu, I love your pictures - they're just so sweet! How do I stay inspired? I'm so lucky, because I wake up everyday inspired to paint! I just want to spend all my time with my muse - it's like being in love...

I feel inspired by nature, but badly need the time to actually set down to painting.

oh, Lynne... I know that obstacle too! I think sometimes I do have the time, but I crave some open-ended type of schedule instead of jumping on the open bits that emerge here and there...

I am inspired by your challenge! I like to push myself to try different things. Even though i call myself an artist, i rarely sketch unless i am sketching an idea to remember later. There are some days i don't feel like sketching, (and i have skipped some days) but knowing that someone is waiting to see it spurs me on. It gets a little easier each day. Thank you for challenging me. xo
